On August 18, 2021, the West Michigan Environmental Action Council presented the Advocacy Award to the Friends of Lower Grand River.
Friends of Lower Grand River is a diverse coalition of individuals and organizations that defended the Lower Grand River from an environmentally hostile plan to dredge a deep channel for pleasure craft usage and preserve the river's natural beauty and environment. Jefferson Seaver, local historian, and Eric-John Szczepaniak, Kenowa Hills school board member, were present to accept the award. Comments are closed.
